Se is a twenty-three year-old architect who has always lived in his birth place of Istanbul. He appreciates both the beauty of the ocean city and its ability to carry life. Se lives with international students or recent graduates for weeks at a time in a two-storey eco-building. Because work is located far from where he lives, he takes the solar-powered and/or electric buses, which were introduced when the price of energy became volatile. His friends regularly change as many of his acquaintances are transient but they remain in touch electronically. Se buys the most recent technologies so that he can keep up with the changes in his industry and so that he can connect with his network online. He still prefers face-to-face interactions to communication over the internet. Money matters for this urbanite, and one day he wants to open his own architecture office.
