Moon Puller is a 29 year-old architect who lives in a block of containers by the seaside in Istanbul because it is the highest place he knows. Most of his relationships are professional in nature and most of his social time is spent with colleagues. His travel is limited, 800 km is the farthest he's travelled, and has mainly been based in Turkey. His diet consists mainly of simple staples like rice and his computer has been his most expensive purchase. Moon Puller is devoted to environmental protection and having a minimal footprint. He is deeply interested in science and learning as much as he can about his natural environment. In the back of his mind Moon Puller is plagued by doubt and he is a rather self-conscious though rational individual; however he continues to believe in a future of possibilities.

Moon Puller's life has altered significantly in the last few years, and he finds the world a considerably more confusing place. He has a son, of whom he was previously unaware, hence has had to adjust his life to incorporate parenting. Exhausted by this new responsibility he finds he has less time to enjoy eating and travelling, and cares less about where his food comes from. Heavily reliant on technology, Moon Puller uses advances in computing to combine his career as an architect with his new-found interest in music.
