Character Profile

Mayabuti Zhora

Mayabuti is a nomadic wiki priest, and has, for his thirty-three years traveled with his people. The wiki mostly travel oceans and find Mediterranean climates ideal as such Mayabuti commonly travels the European, the American and the Asian Pacific coasts. Like most wiki; Mayabuti has a post doctorate education, wiki are knowledge craving nomads and education is one of their most prized possessions. Mayabuti believes materials possessions weigh down a persons ability to evolve, learn and impact change; the most important "stuff" is embedded in personality, not in furniture. And though Mayabuti an his people are simple in life, as nomads, they have had to develop complex and technical means of communication; many of which are used globally (satellites, electronic packets, etc..) the patents to their credit finance their nomadic life style and their willingness to share and acquire knowledge.
Now known as Mayabuti Horax, due to the evolution of the wiki religion, the most significant change in the past decade has been his change of identity; the religion is now less of a theory and more of a practice. Now that Mayabuti's children are older the family travels even more than before, in the van in which they live. They all travel shorter distances, however to more exotic and extraordinary destinations. His communication makes use of the latest technology, including new Origami cards which transmit through the Digital Ether.
After another name change, the wiki priest now known as Mayabuti Wortex still feels "not quite normal" as a citizen of the world; reflected in his constantly changing identity. The number of Wiki people has risen, and Mayabuti?s children are Wiki, and they still travel nomadically, but more locally; they use this lifestyle feature when climate change challenges appear, i.e. they can move to more temperate climes at a whim. Their lives are organised by travel, and their wiki-trains are still the guardians of collective ideals, very different from the increasingly individualistic world they live in.
