Why did they choose to live where they live?
Born in France in a family of circus artists, travelled the world and fell in love with the English coastline and decided to settle there and have a quiet life
What kind of dwelling do they occupy?
A small detached house. It is a very old building, but he has decorated it with taste and it says as much about him as his words

He lives with his cat, Pepsea
How do they get to work?
He cycles, his stall is not too far from his house.
How do they get around their community in general?
He walks, Brighton is not a large place.
How do they relate to the people in their community?
He loves meeting new people at the fruit stall. You can tell a lot about someone about the way they choose their vegetables. He also enjoys meeting new people and can\'t help but give cooking tips and new ideas for delicious dishes.
Who do they interact with most?
The local people doing their daily shopping. He also plays saxophone in a band, who are like his family.
Do they travel?
He travels little, he generally goes to visit his family in France and he goes to the English countryside very often, where he visits his friends the farmers, Patrick and Jane.
Where have they commonly traveled?
He has been to many places with his family when he was a kid. All around north America, Europe and bits of Asia and South America. After those years he settled but he still travels to visit his family. He has found a young helper and once every year or two he can afford to travel far, sail the seas or explore where he hasn\'t been before

He has been to Thailand and Brazil
What is the one place they would like to visit and why?
He would love to go to India. He has heard wonderful things about their spiritual life and he wants to try real Indian food.

He is not greedy but he is very delicate and pays all his attention to ingredients and the subtleties of food. He has a small orchard where he plants vegetables and his fruit trees keep him happy. He is not fat and he doesn\'t waste food. Creating delicious dishes out of leftovers is an art.

He loves fish and fruit. It is a shame that tropical fruit is so expensive.

He went to school and after that he taught himself about looking after plants and growing food. He reads a lot and is aware of what goes on outside his little community. Small chat with clients also helps him keep track of what people are interested in.

He doesn\'t have a fix salary, but he makes enough to keep his business, maintain his house and save to travel.

He likes reading, cycling, camping and playing in a band. He is interested in the sense of human happiness and the sense of fulfilment that one gets from one\'s own interior growth. He gets amused by the importance that some people give to problems which are easily solved. He likes solving problems for people and making it look like they did it themselves.

Grass green, sea blue, sunset orange... he also likes white...he doesn`t have a favourite colour but he likes the emotional states that some colours get him

We. By Yevgeny Zamyatin, a russian writer who inspired George Orwell and 1984. It is a book about human freedom and the surrender to collective power.

He is curious but somewhat frightened. He has recently discovered the beauty of internet, but doesn\'t use it for frivolous stuff, more for researching and satisfying his curiosity about the world
What technology could they not live without?
His cooking stove, his stereo and the radio. Music is one of his passions. He is discovering lately the uses of internet and becoming increasingly relying on it.

Be good to people and get to know them. Respect them for what they are and learn from all of them. He respects nature although he hasn\'t managed to stop eating fish. He has the occasional meat but it is not the main component of his diet
How would you describe their upbringing? How have things changed?
It was a very unusual upbringing, always on the road, moving places, never finding roots other than himself and his circus family. Now, he is also rooted in himself and the changes in his life are more subtle than before. Some people could say he is a routinary person, but he is not. He still finds the little pleasures in life and changes what powers him.

His strength is that he enjoys everything he does. His weakness is that he doesn\'t look for partnerships in everything he does, but also enjoys spending time on his own. Some people think he is a lonely person
