This week you will take your character from 2030 to the year 2040. It's been 30 years since we started our challenge and we are just 10 years from of our goal of 2050!
In 2040 your character is living in the "Carbon is Crime" scenario. This is an extreme world meant to swing a global society from selfish consumption and put them on a path toward the Ecological Age...which is where we will have to arrive by 2050 to be able to live Life @ 1 Planet...[or naught].
Before you take your character on the journey from 2030 to 2040 have you taken a minute to review the extreme world of "Carbon is Crime"? If not just click here.
Based on your character's life in the world "Carbon is Crime", read the following "Drivers of Change" cards (there are 20) and answer the associated questions in the context of your character.
Please remember "now" is 2040. Your character has aged 10 years and the world is a very different place, the answers you provide should be in the context of the chronological evolution of your character AND the world they are living in ("Carbon is Crime").
For example if in 2030 your character was leaving their job and moving house for retirement; you might now have to evaluate if retirement is possible, have they put away enough money based on a potential new carbon economy, will they be able to travel the world?...or is Cardiff the exotic locale of the future?
What are the Drivers of Change in 2040? You'll be asked to create your own card at the end of the exercise.
