Create a Drivers of Change Card

We invite you to create a card for the future; what do you think will be driving change in the year 2050?

While we cannot predict the future, it is absolutely vital that each of us consider the years to come, so that we are more prepared to prevent, anticipate and cope with that which may occur...or more simply put what will be Driving Change?

The future is fiction...It is only when tomorrow transitions to yesterday that will we have the clarity of hindsight; only then, can we know what the future really was.

If you are not familiar with Arup’s Drivers of Change, please click on the template card below for a short description.

Anatomy of the Drivers of Change cards

Whatever the topic being presented, the anatomy of the Drivers of Change cards is always the same.

Each card has:
  • (1) a category fitting it into the STEEP framework (Social, Technological, Economic, Environmental or Political); though the issue presented always has implications for the other four categories.
  • (2) an issue that is "driving change."
  • (3) to further articulate the issue, a thought provoking question.
  • (4) a factoid which expands on the consequences of each issue.
  • (5) an image which is a visual representation of the issue or its potential consequence.
